Rahul Gandhi: Non-Congress (I) govts think only about today

Slamming the non-Congress (I) governments of Uttar Pradesh for thinking only about remaining in power, Rahul Gandhi has said these governments have never thought about long terms plans and future development of the state. They have never thought about unemployment in the state which has reached alarming situation. Southern UP that is Bundelkhand has been drought ridden and suffering from hunger and starvation deaths. Eastern UP has been reeling under encephalitis which has killed thousands of people.  Weaver community in this region is on the verge of closure in the absence of support from the state government.  But past governments did not work out long term future plans for such issues. Even those schemes and funds which Centre has been sending for poverty alleviation and employment generation programs like MNREGA, money has been plundered by Mayawati government and not reached the people. Rahul Gandhi said Congress (I) has experience, visionary plans and necessary expertise to develop UP adding that the state needs a government which work of its people.
