Launching his political campaign recently in Uttarakhand state where Assembly polls are scheduled to be held on January 30, 2012, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said people of Uttarakhand need government of aam admi in the state. Referring to corruption in BJP ruled states of Uttarakhand and Karnataka, he said, BJP had to replace their chief ministers to make up the party’s dented image. Congress (I) leader urged the people to be very cautious while casting ballots. Like the chief minister of Karnataka was forcibly ousted because of corruption, Uttarakhand's chief minister was also asked to tender his papers for the same reasons, he said. Rahul Gandhi highlighted that Congress (I) does not work for a specific section but of 'aam aadmi'(common man) adding that, "my party represents the poor, farmers, labourers and peasants. Recalling his days in Doon School in Dehradun, Rahul Gandhi said, Uttarakhand was a beautiful place.
