Deriding Mayawati for playing politics in the name of dalits without doing anything substantial for them, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said Mayawati does not know the plight of dalit and poor on whose votes she came to power in Uttar Pradesh. She never bother to go to their villages; she does not meet them; she does not stand amidst them and interact with them; she does not visit the houses of dalits to know their problem; she does not take meal in dalits’ houses or drink water from their wells. Mayawati see things from above while sitting in helicopter and thinks everything is all right on the ground. Mayawati does not know that dalits and poor are living most miserable life under her government. Rahul Gandhi has said he and his Congress (I) party are directly connected with dalits and poor and doing what Mayawati has not done for them.
