Rahul Gandhi – boon for Bundelkhand
Blaming Mayawati for neglecting the problems of the people of Bundelkhand, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has assured that development of the region will be taken care of by his party. “Leave it me. I will see that issues relating to people of Bundelkhand are resolved”, Rahul Gandhi had said while speaking to a delegation of people from Bundelkhand. While Mayawati government has neglected development of this region, it is Rahul Gandhi who is taking the lead to solve the issues of the region, said Congress (I). He has been visiting the region and interacting with the people. Due to his efforts Center sanctioned a special package of Rs 8,000 crores for integrated development of the region. But even then Mayawati spent less than 10% of the funds for development of Bundelkhand and that too on the papers only while nothing substantial was done of the ground, said Congress (I).
It can be recalled that it was because of the intervention by the Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, the Central Government sanctioned a relief package for Bundelkhand. Rahul Gandhi had visited the Bundelkhand region, interacted with people and ascertained the gravity of the situation in the drought-hit area.

Rahul Gandhi: People of U.P tired of caste politics
AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who has been leading the campaign for the Congress in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh said that the BJP, SP and BSP are only talking of a particular caste or religion and only the Congress works for the entire people. He said that Congress is not thinking of caste or religion but only about development.
Lashing out against caste based politics of BSP, SP and BJP, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said people are now tired of the group identity politics. Castist politics is inherently incapable of taking all the people together because it looks to serve only the interest of particular group of persons, he said. As such interests of only few persons have been the concern of BJP, SP and BSP in the last 22 years. These governments had no vision, no agenda for the people of the state. As such development of the state has languished, said Rahul Gandhi. None of the governments of these parties solved the issues of the people. BJP government only promoted its ideology while Mulayam Singh Yadav’s SP indulged in corruption. But BSP government of Mayawati turned out to be worst. Congress (I) being a secular party will work for people without discrimination of caste or religion assured Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi: Common man suffered under BSP and SP Rule
Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who has been campaigning for the Congress in Uttar Pradesh which is going to the polls in February 2012 said that Only Congress can provide a Government of aam aadmi.
Blaming Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati for tormenting and terrorizing the people, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said the common man suffered the most under the governments of these parties. During his public meetings for upcoming Assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi mincing no words said Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) were taking away their future from them and urged the people to snatch it back. “You can easily change UP and once again lead the nation" said Rahul Gandhi. To make this possible he requested the people to favor Congress (I) this time. People are feeling impressed the way Rahul Gandhi is talking in straight forward manner and his appeal is down to earth. It is neither for caste vote as SP and BSP have been doing nor is it charged with any fundamentalist ideology as BJP does.
