Accusing Chief Minister Mayawati for having been playing caste based vote bank politics in the state for the last five years, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said roads in the state have pot holes, state of hospitals is pathetic, there is bribery in all departments and loot of welfare funds. In the name of schools only part constructed buildings are there without doors and windows not to mention of lights and fans. There are no centers of excellence for academic and professional studies, said Rahul Gandhi adding that ground reality of UP speak for itself. There is no excuse for Mayawati to have ignored development of Bundelkhand which has been drought ridden despite grant of a special package of Rs 8,000 by Central government. Poorvanchal region has been reeling under encephalitis leading to death of thousands of people. Even for weavers community of the region Central government has sent grant while Chief Minister Mayawati have ignored these regions of Uttar Pradesh, said Rahul Gandhi.
