"Eleven years back, when Tarun Gogoi formed the government, the state treasury was empty, there was not enough money to pay the salaries of government employees, development work was halted, there were no schemes, roads were broken, and power cuts were a normal thing. Also, people were scared to step out of their houses after sunset," Sonia Gandhi.
