Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will hit the road in Kanpur when he will address an election rally in Muslim-dominated Chamanganj area on February 19 and take out a roadshow on February 20.
"Rahul Gandhi's campaign programme in Kanpur is confirmed. He will address an election rally in Haleem Inter college ground in Chamanganj in support of the party candidates," Union Coal Minister and Kanpur MP Sriprakash Jaiswal said.
Rahul Gandhi will take out a road show on February 20. He will visit all Assembly constituencies for around half an hour. Kanpur will go to polls on February 23, the fifth phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh.
Rahul Gandhi has been spearheading the Congress campaign in the state of Uttar Pradesh for the ongoing assembly polls in the state. His sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also has been busily campaigning in Amethi and Raebareli, the Parliament constituencies of her brother Rahul Gandhi and mother Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President.
