Slamming Mayawati for courts passing convictions against her ministers, legislators in all sorts of crime, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that her ministers and legislators have been involved in all sorts of criminal activities. Ranging from bribe, extortions, settling private dispute of persons by arranging force and illegal use of government machinery and even to the extent of forcible grabbing of lands have been the activities of BSP leaders, said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting as part of his ongoing campaign for the Congress in the state for the upcoming Assembly elections in February 2012. She gave tickets to persons having past criminal background and did so to unleash dadas, gundas and criminals to coerce the innocent people to vote for BSP. This nexus between the BSP party and criminals virtually turned the state into lawless one. The situation became so grave under her rule that two government doctors (CMOs) were murdered to facilitate looting of NRHM funds. CBI is now probing into NRHM scam involving Rs 5,000 crores. Cautioning the people not to trust her anymore, Rahul Gandhi appealed them to give this time a chance to his party to form government. He promised that Congress (I) would put an end to this sleazy situation and ensure good governance aiming for the upsurge of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
