Mayawati govt. broke Mulayam’s record of corruption: Rahul Gandhi

Hitting out against Mayawati for widespread corruption under her government, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said she broke all records of corruption previously set by Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party government. Everywhere there is corruption; nothing can be done without paying bribe; so much so even if a person has to lodge a FIR in police station he has to bribe the police, said Rahul Gandhi while addressing election rallies at various places in Uttar Pradesh as part of his campaign for the upcoming assembly polls. Instead of encouraging existing industry for higher growth, her government has developed a new industry of corruption, alleged Rahul Gandhi.  Her government has become a trading company where brokers strike the deals with corrupt ministers, he added.  Name any program or welfare scheme like Garib Rozgaar Yojana, Bal Pushta Aahar, Vidhwa and Vridha Pension or land allotment schemes and Group Housing schemes, Maya tax and Maya commission is levied.  Highlighting that under her government bhrashtachar has become a shishtachar, Rahul Gandhi said it is time for the people to bring an end to the corruption and misrule.  He urged them to give this time a chance to Congress (I) and promised that it would ensure a government that would act with responsibility and provide good governance.
