The Congress is set to address the important issue of corruption during its campaign in the poll bound Uttarakhand which goes to polls on January 30. Congress President Sonia Gandhi will lead the list of campaigners for Congress.
The party has already come out with a chargesheet against the BJP government. “BJP is a party with dual face. During elections, it shows the face of a political party but gets converted into a commercial outfit once in power. There have been six major scams during the BJP tenure,” said Birendra Singh, Congress general secretary in-charge of Uttarakhand affairs.
The high-pitched campaign had already been will be kicked off from Roorkee, where Gandhi addressed a huge rally. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has also joined the Congress campaign.
Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi is now in Uttarakhnad and has been addressing rallies in the state.
