Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi who is on a five-day tour to Uttar Pradesh as a part of his campaign ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in the state addressed a number of rallies and interacted with a lot of people.
At Matera, the young Gandhi fired with words and told some interesting but condemning things happening in Uttar Pradesh. He told how he was shocked to see that a hospital was being renovated from the outside while dogs were roaming about in the inside.
“A few days back I went to one hospital in UP which was being painted from the outside. And the road in front of it was being built. As an MP I went inside to see what was happening and I saw dogs roaming around. There were no beds, no doctors and no medical facilities. When I asked the people there, I got to know it was being done to show Mayawati who was to come there. The road was being built because the Chief Minister’s chopper would land there. And the (outer) hospital building was to show her that there was a hospital,” said the Congress general secretary.
While Rahul finished his spectacular speech at Nanpara, a girl shouted “Rahul Bhaiya! Rahul Bhaiya!” After coming down the stage he met with the girl. She started crying. After questioning, it came out that she is the wife of an ex-COP who was martyred recently. The couple had a child. Now, there is no government help for her.
Rahul Gandhi, at Nanpara told that his opponents and many big leaders say that he is a kid - he does not know anything about politics, he is always indulging in drama. He said that they say he does the politics of drama but does not care, he will continue to do the same.
