Congress (I) has accused Mayawati government for showing favors to private company J.P. Associates in government contracts. Ignoring the rules and regulations Mayawati has given many controversial government contracts to this private company. This group has secured dozen of government projects by entering into underhand deals in conspiracy with Mayawati government. Government agencies acquired thousands of acres of lands of poor farmers at nominal price for private business of J.P. Associates by invoking urgency clause that is public purpose. Force and fraud were committed to grab land of the poor farmers. Mayawati government plundered poor farmers to directly benefit J.P. Associates. Where farmers protested as it happened in Tappal and Bhatta-Parsaul Mayawati government got them shot by police, their properties destroyed and their women raped. Thus, by Mayawati’s illegal action the private company has been benefited by thousands of crores, said Congress (I).
