Congress (I) has accused Mayawati for getting the resolution through for division of Uttar Pradesh into four states without first taking the people of state into confidence. When Mayawati has not been at all sincere to the people of the state how can be talk of its division has asked Congress (I). At present priority of Uttar Pradesh are to end corruption and to undertake development for which the state is lagging behind other states. Any talk of division of state is only a political stunt of Mayawati to divert attention of people from rampant corruption in her government, said Congress (I). Mayawati government has been stealing people money which central government has been sending for implementation of welfare schemes for the poor people. Instead the money is being pocketed by Mayawati’s corrupt ministers, legislators and BSP leaders. Mayawati must first answer for this corruption, before she talks of other things like division of the state, has said Congress (I).
