Priyanka Gandhi Vadra: This election is to refine the politics of U.P

“This election is not for just electing your MLA but to decide your future, the future of your children and the course of politics in the state” said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while addressing an election rally in Raebareli as part of her campaign for Congress. She has been touring Amethi and Raebareli to campaign for Congress. She addressed various election meetings and under took road shows in these regions. 

“I, therefore, request you to think before casting your votes. If you have a Congress MLA, then Sonia Ji can work more comfortable with the MLA and this will help faster development in the region,” she reminded.

Talking about the importance to have a Congress Government in U.P, Priyanka Gandhi said, “Currently you have a hardworking MP and there is a Congress Government at the Centre. If you support Congress during this election, then you can have a Congress Government in your state as well as have a Congress MLA in your region. This will ensure development from all four sources - the Centre, MP, MLA and the state Government - and no one can stop the development in your region. At present you have only two sources - the Centre and your M.P”.

“Wherever I go, people talk about the scarcity of water, electricity, education and health. The people are concerned only about development and you need a politics that is committed for it. Please support Congress,” she concluded.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra: Negate the politicians who negated you in the past 22 years

The people of Amethi were lucky to have a pleasant surprise. On Thursday Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was seen for the first time in a public meeting, with her kids Raihan and Miraya at an election rally on Thursday in the midst of the state Assembly elections. She has been campaigning in Amethi and Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh.

Priyanka Gandhi then urged people to go to vote in large numbers and said “I have full confidence that you will remember my words when you go to polls on 19^th (February).. And I am hope full that you will go to vote in large numbers like the way you have come here to hear me..”

Expressing her pleasure to see a good turnout in the first phase of assembly polls in U.P, Priyanka Gandhi said “I heard that there was a good voter’s turnout for yesterday’s polls.   It is the first time in the history of Uttar Pradesh that the state witnessed such good voting percentage.. I hope you will take a positive message from this and will go to the polls in large numbers on 19^th. Vote for Congress and strengthen its hands… Elect Shiv Balak Pasi Ji. I am sure that you will negate the politicians who negated you in the past 22 years.. “

Priyanka Gandhi also said that the state of Uttar Pradesh slipped backwards by the corrupt and the opportunistic politics witnessed in the past 22 years. She also slammed both SP and BSP for the pathetic living conditions in the state and urged people to bring about changes by supporting Congress candidates.

Concluding her address she said “I have trust and hope in you..My trust is not for my benefit, pride or development but it is for you and your family.. I am sure that you will bring in changes and take the state forward.. Your region is region too.. Everyone here is like my family member..  And so, we will be glad to see progress and development here..  We will be happy only if you all are happy.. You waited for me so long.. “
