Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi has been managing the Congress-led UPA government at the centre very effectively. Her effective intervention has helped the government to solve a number of issues. Further, as the chairman of NAC, Sonia Gandhi played important role to frame the policies like MNREGA, Right to Education, Right to Information and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan.
