Priyanka Gandhi Vadra: Wake up and rise, vote for Congress

Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra on Friday began her five-day tour in Uttar Pradesh by exhorting people to 'wake up and rise' to fight for their rights.
Priyanka Gandhi said that corruption and political opportunism were the biggest challenges for the nation. The people who should be on the stage have been pushed away and forced to beg for their rights from those whom they had voted to power, she pointed out.
'Tell me what the meaning of a politician is?' Priyanka asked a gathering in Balbhadrapur area of Gauriganj assembly segment and then continued: 'They are your servants. This place (stage) should be for you and they should stand where you are standing. 'The way you beg for your rights is wrong. Why don't you wake up? When will you rise?'
Briefly interacting with the media Priyanka Gandhi said: 'Corruption, anarchy and political opportunism are our biggest challenges. People have realised it now.'
Asked about the impact of the anti-corruption campaign of Anna Hazare Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said 'Ask the people about their problems. 'They will answer this question.'
